Welcome

With two little boys, and a law student for a husband, I have plenty of nonsense to share.

Utah Surprise

Wayne got a huge break from school over the holidays, so we decided to drive to Utah for the last half of it. Most of our family lives in Logan and we decided we would just show up. The drives weren't as bad as I expected and the kids loved the motels. We always aim for free breakfast, and Graham thought that was the best thing in the world. Every morning he and I would go eat while Wayne and Coop slept in, and then they would go eat while Graham and I watched cartoons and got things ready to go.

The closer we got, the more excited we were and the last couple hours of the drive went by sooooo sloooowly. When we finally got to Wayne's parents house we parked at the church across the street so we could sneak over. I kept telling Wayne that I was going to pass out I was so excited. It was too much :D! I had the video camera out and recorded everyone's reactions (my Grandma and Grandpa included). They were all pretty good, but I have to say that Wayne's Dad, and Wayne's brother's wife Julise had the best reactions. The videos are long and probably not as fun for other people as they are for us, so I don't think I'll try and post them.

So we played and we ate and we laughed and then Graham started puking all over the place. All over me, to be exact. That was pretty impressive. There was a LOT and I did a fantastic job of not letting it get on the couch. I'm a real Mom now that I have cupped my hands to catch large quantities of projectile vomit. It was strange and random, and it's been disputed whether or not it was the same stomach bug that took out half of my relatives for a week. (Sorry about that guys...and Grandma...really sorry Grandma).

Anyhow, that put a kink in our plans but we still got to see a lot of people. We went sledding, played on the fake desserts at the Cache Valley mall (can you believe that's an attraction?), saw a few cool rocks and we ate at Costa Vida AND Cafe Rio. Next time we have to hit up Elements. It's really a shame to miss out on that one and Wayne is still whining about not getting a Logans Gyros sandwich.

How cute are these baby fries?! (I haven't been there in a really long time)

T.V. saved my life. Don't judge.

Oh, this is just moments before they had synchronized blowouts, and we became the white trash family with the naked children in a Burger King. Lovely. Next time, I won't take quite so much advantage of the apple juice at the free motel breakfast...

This kid was obsessed with the phones. We had to unplug them. He dunked one in a toilet and took another one to breakfast (which I quickly hid as soon a I realized).

He was so mad we put him in bed, and then he passed out.

The only time my kids sleep when I don't make them, is when they are sick.

Uncle Isaac.

This is Wayne not regretting the move to Texas.

Great Grandma and Grandpa :D.

My cousin and his giant dog.

Sledding!

This is one of my cousins :) I thought it was a neat shot.

Stories

Dog piles are not uncommon in this family...

He is cute. This should be an ad.

So this is my cousin. She and Graham are good friends :) and he talked about her alllll the way to Utah.

We spent a night in Moab. We were bummed it was so cold, cause we really wanted to hang out and play a little.

Haha, Wayne. He's so cool.

Awesome.

This was at a Sinclair we passed on the way home. I thought it was hilarious because even though it's a dinosaur town or something, the place was almost a ghost town now, and this dino was DEAD like the SINCLAIR! Get it? Maybe it's just me.

We made a stop at Four Corners.

Trying to wake up.

K, I laughed so hard at this. It's a handtowel! He looks like a grown-up, and it's always funny when a baby acts like a grown-up.

That's pretty much it. I didn't take enough pictures cause I fell on the camera when we were sledding and it didn't work as well after that... There are more, but these are just a few of the best. We had so much fun, and I am so glad we went!
